A big part of the job for those new to managing small teams, is leading by example - yet they still have to manage their desks and bill as before which can be a huge challenge.  Our powerful one day course gives new managers and leaders the resources they need to start building their leadership toolkit so that they have the confidence to not only succeed in their new role, but enjoy it. They can then continue to add to their toolkit with skills and techniques they can use over their whole leadership career.

• engage their team and communicate effectively with them
• understand how to balance their priorities…billing vs. leading
• be able to influence others around them and successfully manage up
• understand the implications of change on team performance

• New managers and leaders with no previous formal leadership training
• Recruiters planning to take up their first supervisory, team leader, management or mentoring role
• New managers who would like some time to reflect on their role and learn some new/refresh techniques to make them more effective

The qualification (optional)

So people can navigate their leadership career, we have become a Chartered Institute of Management (CMI) approved centre. Our leadership courses (amongst others) are accredited and enable delegates to gain a Certificate in First Line Management from the Chartered Institute of Management (becoming members of the institute and using the letters CMI after their name). Although the CMI is a British institute, this is an internationally recognised certificate. For more information on the qualification go to www.landerleadership.com

We will also be able to offer higher level certificates for more senior delegates, which we intend to do in a few months i.e. Certificate in Management and Leadership (degree level) – there are higher levels still for senior management.
